Solution

They use Collect to collect weights from their balance and send them directly to an Excel® spreadsheet, eliminating the need to manually enter the data. Each time the operator puts a new sample on the balance, they simply hit enter and the data is transferred directly into Excel®.

Collect has a unique Direct-XL™ technology that uses standard Excel® references to create interfaces that do not rely on the cursor location for placing data in Excel®. Since the interface is cursor independent, the operator is able to continuously collect data from their balance while working in other applications at the same time.


Result

Collect has given the laboratory a simple, cost-effective solution that has greatly improved the efficiency and accuracy of data collection, and will help them to continue to expand their sample handling capabilities.
