Product Marketing Manager

As Labtronics Product Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in designing the marketing strategy for Labtronics products. This role includes responsibility for the development of strategic growth plans.

In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Crafting marketing messages that resonate with the target buyers and influencers.
  • Engaging customers, prospects, and internal resources to define market needs, reviewing product concepts, and developing product positioning.
  • Defining market opportunities and recommending strategies to differentiate your products.
  • Act as a liason with Product Innovation and R&D, during all stages of product development to ensure the smooth flow of information, materials, and communication required for a successful product launch.
  • Clearly communicating marketing strategy to Labtronics as a whole.
The successful candidate would ideally have:
  • 5+ years of software product marketing experience
  • Superior intellectual and quantitative analysis abilities to grasp and translate technical capabilities.
  • Working knowledge and application of marketing business concepts, procedures, and practices.
  • Exceptional communicating skills – both inbound (listening and understanding) and outbound (written and spoken articulation).
  • Ability to learn on one’s own, and drive results with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Very strong understanding and skill on how to communicate using web mediums like website, videos, email newsletters, webinars, blogs, etc.

Application Specialist

As an Application Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting customers with the implementation, customization, and deployment of products sold by Labtronics.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Learn the technical aspects of Labtronics software such as: typical customer use, known issues, and possible solutions.
  • Apply the technical knowledge in an implementation and support capacity to ensure the success of Labtronics sales efforts. Provide telephone, e-mail and web-based applications support to customers.
  • Install and configure software products sold by Labtronics.
  • Travel to customer sites, mostly within North America.
  • Act as a project manager and actively assist customers in all stages of the project life cycle. This includes but is not limited to: presale project definition, requirements development, specification development, method development, interface testing, interface implementation, interface refinement, interface enhancement and project completion and closure.
  • Assist Labtronics in reaching its financial goals.
The successful candidate would ideally have:
  • 2+ years of work experience providing application support services and project management to external clients.
  • University degree in science, or computer science.
  • Strong technical knowledge of databases.
  • Knowledge of scripting is an asset.
  • Knowledge of networks, network security, and servers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong business analyst and project management skills.

Solution Specialist

Leverage Your Lab Experience into a New Career

Labtronics is looking for people with laboratory and computer experience for its Solution Specialist position. Labtronics develops and sells solutions that will revolutionize laboratory operations by automating a wide variety of laboratory processes.

A Solution Specialist provides a strong and unique voice within our sales and development teams, ensuring that our solutions meet and exceed the needs of our ever-expanding client base. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Sales, the successful candidate will work directly with our sales force to assist our potential clients with the technical challenges associated with laboratory automation issues. This position involves limited travel within North America.

Summary of Essential Job Resposibilities:
  • Develop a competent level of understanding of Labtronics Nexxis and LimsLink solutions and their application in the laboratory.
  • Be an active participant in discussions in order to understand the requirements so that targeted solutions can be developed.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and demonstrations that highlight how Labtronics technology addresses the customer's needs.
  • Assist the sales team by specifying targeted solutions that address performing technical needs assessments, assisting with project proposals, quotations and project work.
Minimum Requirements:
  • University degree or college diploma in science, or computer science.
  • 2 to 5 years of work experience within a laboratory setting working with analytical instrumentation.
  • Experience with Visual Basic or SQL/Oracle database beneficial.
Successful Candidate Will:
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication/facilitation skills.
  • Possess strong presentation skills and the ability to formulate answers quickly

Quality Control Technician

13 Month Contract

As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for developing and executing test procedures on official builds for products sold by Labtronics.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Developing a competent level of understanding of Labtronics products, their functionality and use.
  • Comprehension and reviewing of programming specification documents.
  • Providing constructive review of written test plans and procedures.
  • Providing labour estimates for developing and executing test procedures.
  • Developing product test procedures that will test for functionality, accuracy, and speed, based on applicable specification documents.
  • Executing test procedures on product builds; provide randomized testing, while maintaining an accurate record of testing performed.
  • Ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts using a generic scripting language.
  • Reporting and assigning defects using a defect tracking software system.
  • Assessing different levels of defects and ascertain the impact on the end user.
  • Maintaining and complete testing records in accordance with the policies and procedures.
  • Providing status updates and recommendations to project lead/manager.
  • Working independently or as a member of a team.
  • Actively foster a positive working environment.
  • Providing mentorship and assistance to other members of the QC team.
  • Adhering to Labtronics policies and practices.
The successful candidate will have:
  • 2 to 3 years of Quality Control/Testing experience; or 1 to 2 years programming experience, preferably within a software company.
  • A sound understanding and the ability to put into practice basic quality control principals and practices.
  • Understanding of measurement, tolerance range, and significant figures.
  • Understanding of the Windows XP and Server operating systems.
  • Understanding of the Microsoft Word application, familiar with other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient in the SQL programming language.
  • Proficient in a VBA like scripting language.
  • Basic trouble shooting techniques.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience.
