Embedded LIMS Interface

LimsLink CDS adds a menu item to ChemStation, which provides direct access to the LIMS. The new “Create Sequence” option collects a list of pending samples from the LIMS and creates a complete ChemStation sequence, with a single mouse click.

View and Extract LIMS Worklists

Available LIMS worklists can be selected directly from ChemStation. The analyst can view and edit the list to ensure it is complete and accurate. Special samples like standards and check samples are automatically inserted and replicates are expanded.

Integrated with ChemStation Security and Audit Trail

Access to the new LimsLink CDS menu items is controlled by ChemStation security, eliminating the need to logon separately to use the interface.

LimsLink CDS also uses the ChemStation Audit Trail (i.e. the Current Logbook) to track activity such as changes to the setup configuration, connecting to LIMS, selecting worklists, changes to samples, creating sequences and reporting results after analysis.

Configuration is quick and easy using drop-down menus and checkboxes that use ChemStation terminology.

Simplified Reporting to LIMS

LimsLink CDS can capture any ChemStation report, extract the sample results and transparently send the data to the LIMS. This simplifies reporting by letting analysts use their regular print procedures to transfer data to their LIMS. Any calculations that are performed by ChemStation when creating the report are preserved and can be transferred to the LIMS.
