Nexxis CAL is a web-based application that can be used right out-of-the-box to control instrument calibration procedures.

With additional configuration, Nexxis CAL can be integrated with laboratory instruments to fully automate calibration procedures. An even higher level of automation can be achieved by integrating Nexxis CAL into common laboratory procedures making Instrument Calibration Management an integral part of your laboratory's operations.

Nexxis CAL is built on the Nexxis Application Development Platform, which uniquely combines a powerful Application Development Tool for developing laboratory solutions with a scalable Laboratory Platform to deploy, manage and execute the applications.

A Web-Based Solution

The Nexxis Web Client allows laboratories to implement a zero footprint, multi-tier, web-based application that can be accessed by using Microsoft® Internet Explorer®, eliminating the need to install software on the client side. While the Nexxis Web Client manages the user interface, the application logic and data management are handled by the central Nexxis Administrator and Server. This simplifies deployment of Nexxis Applications and reduces the time and effort required to validate the solution in a regulated environment.


Automated Instrument Management

Nexxis CAL maintains an instrument database allowing you to add, delete or retire an instrument. The Nexxis CAL instrument database provides a full, interactive instrument inventory for the laboratory.


Automated Calibration and Maintenance Scheduling

Nexxis CAL manages the scheduling of calibration and maintenance events for all of the instruments entered into the instrument database and records all results, including a record as to whether the instrument passed or failed the calibration.


Automated Repair Schedule

Nexxis CAL can also be used to schedule and document instrument repairs. When documenting a repair, Nexxis CAL automates the following processes:

•  Spread work over several sessions and keep a log
•  Record who performed the repair
•  Record parts required
•  Tracks time required to carry out the repair


Automated Data Collection

Although Nexxis CAL can accept manual calibration data, the real power of the system is realized when data collection is automated. Nexxis CAL can be integrated with any laboratory instrument and automatically collect calibration data. An instrument library for common instruments is available simplifying the setup of these instruments.
