Since 1995 LimsLink has been the world’s leading tool for collecting, parsing and reporting laboratory data to LIMS.

Now LimsLink performs the same function for Nexxis SDMS - collecting data from virtually any laboratory source, extracting metadata using LimsLink’s flexible, configurable parser and reporting both the raw data and the metadata to Nexxis SDMS for archival.

• Automatically collect data and documents via RS232, file, TCP/IP, ODBC, XML/HTML, print driver capture, OLE, DDE
• Automatically capture any data type including raw data files, printed reports, Microsoft® Office® reports (e.g. Excel®, Word®, PowerPoint®, etc.) files from any application
• Automatically extract metadata using LimsLink’s powerful graphical data parser
• Report both the raw data and the metadata to Nexxis SDMS for archival
• Parse the raw data and create reports for LIMS or other informatics applications
• Automatically save raw data for storage in Nexxis SDMS and report result data to LIMS, ERP, etc. at the same time

At the same time, LimsLink can parse the raw data and send reports directly to LIMS or other informatics applications.

Integrating Nexxis SDMS and LIMS

LIMS and SDMS are used for managing different types of data that often come from the same source. LIMS is great for managing sample information, and result information. It is generally not used to store raw data. SDMS has no knowledge of samples, but is an ideal tool for storing raw data.

When data is sent to the two systems it is imperative that the data is linked together so that laboratories can quickly connect the sample result information in LIMS with the raw data in SDMS.

Nexxis SDMS makes this process easy and ensures data integrity between the two systems.

• Send raw data to SDMS and result data to LIMS at the same time, with one simple configuration
• Add LIMS data (e.g. sample ID or a sample weight) to the Nexxis SDMS Metadata
