Prevent Untrained Analysts from Executing Tests

Nexxis TM can integrate with other Nexxis iLAB applications, at the time of analysis, to make sure that analysts are prevented from running a test or procedure if they don’t meet the training requirements.

• A Nexxis ELN worksheet may require that an analyst be recertified to run that analysis every 6 months. Nexxis ELN can check Nexxis TM every time the worksheet is run to see if the analyst is currently certified. If they are not certified, they can be prevented from running that analysis until their training is updated.

Nexxis iLAB applications can also provide feedback to Nexxis TM if poor execution on the part of an analyst indicates a need for training.

• A Nexxis ELN worksheet for calibrating an instrument can monitor the success of the calibration. If the calibration fails twice in a row, Nexxis ELN can tell Nexxis TM to schedule retraining for the analyst on that calibration procedure.

Prove That Training Took Place

Nexxis Training Courses can be automatically graded giving management the feedback that they need to confirm that training took place and to measure the effectiveness of the training.

• A typical paper-based system might ask an analyst to simply sign a document saying that they have read and understood a new SOP. There is no real proof that the document was read and no measurement of the effectiveness of that "training".
• A Nexxis Training Course can require that the analyst read the new SOP and then answer a series of multiple choice questions.
• Nexxis TM can automatically mark the course and record the analyst's grade along with a "pass" or "fail" status.
• If the trainee doesn't pass the course, then Nexxis TM does not mark the training as complete.

Where other applications simply record that a training event took place, Nexxis TM provides real proof that training took place and that the training goals were achieved.

Simplify Employee Reviews, Inspections and Audits

Results from Nexxis Training Courses are automatically stored in Nexxis TM's Training History, giving laboratory management an on-line record of all training results that can be easily accessed during employee reviews, inspections and audits.

• Training History includes a list of all courses that have been completed by an employee showing the course name, the completion date and the result for the course.
• All employees can view their own Training History on-line.
• Laboratory management can use the Training History to review results from their employees, helping them to identify and correct gaps or deficiencies in the employee's training.

In the case of an external inspection or audit, Nexxis TM's Training History can be used to quickly confirm analysts' training and competency based on a review of training dates and results.

Keep All Training Materials and Documents in One Place

Nexxis TM is closely integrated with Nexxis SDMS (or other SDMS or Document Management Systems) to provide a secure integrated platform for storing and retrieving all documents related to Training Management.

• Materials used in training courses (SOPs, worksheets, Power Point presentations, videos, images, etc.) can be stored in Nexxis SDMS and automatically accessed by Nexxis TM as courses are executed.
• Updates to course materials are simplified as they only need to be changed in one place - Nexxis SDMS.
• Accessing course materials from Nexxis SDMS when the training course is executed ensures that every course is delivered using the most up-to-date materials.

Nexxis TM also automatically saves completed tests in Nexxis SDMS. This gives laboratory management fast access to the "metadata" that surrounds training events.

• A completed test that is stored in Nexxis SDMS can be automatically opened by clicking on the test result in Nexxis TM. Management can quickly see which version of a test was taken, which questions the trainee did well on or which ones they had trouble with.
